Are You Eligible? 

  • Workers on long-term layoff who are currently receiving unemployment
  • Workers who have used up their unemployment
  • Workers who lose their jobs due to a company closing or mass layoff

Bilingual Services: Our Spanish/English bilingual case managers can help participants with limited English skills, including use of our computerized ESL Lab.

HIRE SERVICES 
  • Vocational Retraining: Attend classes to upgrade your current skills or retrain in a new career. We provide funding for tuition and books. Child care and transportation assistance are also available.
  • On The Job Training: We reimburse your new employer up to 50% of your wages while you learn a new skill or trade.
  • Job Search: We can help with an individualized job search, resume development, and cover letters. Attend our Job Seeking Skills Class to ace your interview job search. Participate in our Job Club and use our Employment Resource Center.
  • Basic Skills: Strengthen reading, writing, math and basic computer skills through individualized, small group, or classroom instruction.
  • MATC Learning Lab: Use our learning lab to study for GED and High School Equivalency exams and employer tests; improve basic skills and typing.
  • Career Planning: We can help you determine your best career moves through vocational assessments, individual guidance, and testing.
  • Special Training Projects: We design programs built around the needs of our participants.
ALL SERVICES ARE PROVIDED  FREE OF CHARGE.
