February 14, 1901, Badger Lodge meeting. Moved and carried, order be drawn on treasury for $14.21 for salary of Business Agent. Moved and carried that Vilter shop committee investigate members from Christensen Eng Co working for less wages than jobs previously paid. Moved and carried that each voluntarily be assessed $1.00 for strike fund. February 28, 1901, regular meeting of Badger Lodge 66. A communication from Blacksmiths Union was received and secretary instructed to write for pointed matter. Moved and 2nd, we appoint a committee for circular no. 19 regarding the 9 hour day to consult with other Lodges, also assist at mass meetings and report result at Lodge meetings. August 20, 1901, regular meeting of Badger Lodge 66. Moved and carried to form parade for Labor Day on the corner of Jackson and Wisconsin Streets. September 3, 1901, regular meeting of Badger Lodge 66. Moved and seconded, to send Textile Union 150, $2.00 for strike benefits, carried. Charges were preferred against Archie McSean for scabbing at Milwaukee Electric Company. Moved and seconded that Lodge 66 has no objection of Allis men to start a lodge of their own, carried. September 17, 1901, regular meeting of Badger Lodge 66. Moved and seconded that an order be drawn on the treasure for $14.91 to pay expense of Labor Day picnic, carried. September 22, 1901, joint meeting of Lodge 66 and Lodge 300. A very able lecture was held by 3rd Vice President Geo Mulberg for the good of the order and explaining the movement of succession on foot at Buffalo by Lodge 45. October 1, 1901, regular meeting of Badger Lodge 66. The committee on charges read their report on Brother McSean and was accepted by the Lodge. Move and carried that Brother McSean be expelled from the International Association of Machinists. November 5, 1901, moved and carried, we buy ten tickets of Pattern Makers and 5 tickets from Knoxville Lodge, amount to $3.75. November 19, 1901, regular meeting of Badger Lodge 66. Moved and carried that a committee be appointed and in conjunction with the other Lodges in the circuit to audit books of Governing Board. July 3, 1908, had Grand Lodge per Capita of $44.63. July 19, 1908, had Grand Lodge per Capita of $152.45. August 7, 1908, that the Lodge will parade on Labor Day. $5.00 was donated to Rio Grande Railway Strike. Committee of three was appointed to call on the representation of the Wollen Mills Co. August 21, 1908, motion to distribute the Labor Day Picnic tickets among the members. Report of committee that visited the Woolen Mills representative accepted. October 16, 1908, motion carried to subscribe for the La Follette paper for one year. November 6, 1908, committee of three was appointed to correspond with the other lodges in regard to the nomination of Grand Lodge Officers. November 20, 1908, delegates to District Board were instructed to request the district subscribe for the American Federationist, Chicago Daily Socialist and the Free Press. December 18, 1908, entertainment committee was authorized to cooperate with Lodge 300 to run a Smoker at this hall. Motion carried to allow Smoker Committee $20.00 and full power to act, in case Lodge 66 decides to run the Smoker alone, $25.00 was allowed. February 15, 1909, the 59 members who have not paid the One Day's Pay Assessment are to be notified to attend next meeting and trustees determine the cases in Aute Room and report back to the Lodge. Married men and single men having others depending upon them were to be allowed a leeway of 8 months and single men 5 months, out of work to be exempt from paying the One Day's Pay Assessment. April 2, 1909, motion was carried that the different Local Lodges notify each other of members who are two months in arrears and that the names be read off at the meeting. May 17, 1909, motion was carried that we march on Labor Day and secretary instructed to notify Trades Council that we would march 150 strong, without music or uniforms. Communications from Blatz Park referred to waste basket. Motion carried that delegates to District Lodge be instructed to report that the sentiment of our Lodge in favor of consolidation. Motion carried to drape our charter for 3 months in honor of deceased Brother Ripple. May 21, 1909, Trustees were instructed to buy crape to drape our charter. June 4, 1909, motion carried that Mrs. Ripple be notified that the Lodge can not do anything further in the case of her deceased husband. June 18, 1909, trustees were instructed to take the charter to the called meeting at Freie Gerneidne Hall. A committee to arrange a raffle for the benefit of Mrs. Ripple was appointed. July 2, 1909, committee from joint committee of the four lodges read and by motion the recommendation concurred in. Motion carried that hereafter any member in the city wishing a withdrawal card must appear at the meeting in person. Motion carried to buy 100 tickets for the Labor Day Picnic at $.10 each. August 6, 1909, the reinstatement fee of O. Patterson asked for by Superior Lodge 343 was set at $10.00 provided there were no charges against him. Reports of Lodges 301, 300, and 66 were accepted. Committee of 5 was appointed to look over the reports of the different auditing committees and report next meeting. August 20, 1909, motion carried that hereafter all business of the Lodge be carried on under the name of "United Lodge 66". September 3, 1909, motion carried to elect a special local organizer for 3 months at a salary of $100.00 a month and no expenses and a volunteer committee of 25 men. Brother Jos Sultaire being the only nominee, a motion carried that he be elected by acclamation. Upon motion the organizer stands instructed to begin his work immediately upon his return from the convention. Secretary was instructed to notify the Grand Lodge of our action and ask for the financial assistance and cooperation of the Grand Lodge. After reading letter from District 15, motion was carried that we unanimously disapprove of the action of the Grand Lodge and instruct our delegates to the convention to stand for the seating of their delegate to the convention. Treasurer was instructed to draw $160.00 on account to defray the expenses of Brother Sultaire to the convention. The following resolution submitted by President Aldrich was adopted, "In order to expedite business and govern debate, the rules of order contained in the Constitution and Robert's Rules of Order when not in conflict with these rules shall govern debate in United Lodge 66, International Association Machinists." September 17, 1909, motion carried that the officers of Lodge be empowered to call a Special Meeting in case the Eastern delegates upon their return from the convention can be induced to stop here for a short time. Motion carried that $50.00 be drawn from the treasury to pay for the expenses of these delegates with the understanding that the Officers return whatever is not needed. October 1, 1909, The New York controversy was laid over to the next meeting. October 15, 1909, motion carried that the officers of the Lodge be authorized to initiate night men at the office. The Lodge vote unanimously that the gears of a lathe are dangerous when not guarded. The tool raffle for the benefit of Mrs. Ripple netted $50.25. Committee on selection of a new hall stands instructed to make a report by the first of the year. Motion carried that the District Board act as execute board of the Lodge until further notice. Chair stands instructed to sign vouchers for per capita to Grand Lodge, the vouchers to be made out to the Grand Lodge instead of treasury $214.26 was turned over to the Lodge by H. Marny and all accounts straightened. November 5, 1909, trustees were authorized to assist the secretary with communications and make their recommendations so as to expedite the business of the Lodge more quickly. An Amendment to an amendment was carried that the committee rent the Friere Gerneiude Hall for a Thursday or Friday night, preferably Friday night. Committee of five was appointed to visit the Apprentice Lodge at their meeting. November 19, 1909, motion carried to reconsider our former action on renting the Friere Gerneiude Hall. Motion carried to rent the Alhambra Building Hall until May 1910. Secretary was authorized to carry out this action and give the manager of Franklin Hall notice or our removal. Motion carried to hold Installation and Smoker first meeting in January and appoint committee. December 3, 1909, motion carried to hold Smoker the 3rd Saturday in January. Smoker Committee was instructed to get attorney Wm Rubin to speak at our Smoker. The members of the Lodge were informed of the salaries of the officers as follows: Financial Secretary $100.00 per year; Recording Secretary $50.00, and Treasurer $25.00.
